Coming up in fall 2013 and spring 2014

Into the Fray: Henry Ward Beecher and His Culture Wars, a choral program with narration, exploring the life and times of a man once considered "the most famous man in America."

October 5, 7:30, at First United Church (next to IU Credit Union), $10/$5
October 6, 4:00, at Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis

Michelle Louer will narrate, and Henry Ryder will represent Beecher.  Music includes works of Haydn, Mozart, Jeffrey Van, spirituals, hymns, and protest songs from the 19th century.  The story weaves words of Whitman, Lincoln, and Beecher's sister, Harriet Beecher Stowe, as it explores Beecher's forays into religious schisms, race relations, women's rights, the role of science in religion, and the role of religion in politics.

March 2014 TBA   Musical Architectural Tour of Columbus, Indiana. Listen to beautiful music while taking the time to enjoy the architectural gems of Columbus.

May 2014   Rose Hill Cemetery   Explore the stories behind Bloomington's most beautiful cemetery during peony blossom time.  Bring your own lawn chair.
